God can deliver miraculously and physically, but more often His deliverance is eternal and Spiritual; accomplished at the cross of Christ. Are you OK with that? Is your faith and trust in God strong enough to trust Him even if He does not grant you what seems just and comfortable for you at the time? Is the will of God more desirable to you than your temporal deliverance?

God is totally and passionately willing to make us uncomfortable in order to build our faith. Such was the case for the exiles returning to Judah and Jerusalem. But alas, even the attention getter of judgment and exile has no remedy for a dead heart. The Messiah and His Kingdom were absent; and the returning exiles, minus idolatry, can still not keep covenant with God.

Assurance of salvation is about perseverance. This is a major theme in the New Testament. Who are the saved? The saved are those who persevere. But how does fainting intersect with persevering? We all faint at times. Does this mean I may or may not be saved?

When the blessings of God lead through paths of difficulty and trouble, it can make one spiritually faint. How can we keep the spiritual blood flowing into our spiritual brain so we don't pass out? Feeling faint does not equal failure. God uses fainting to build humble faith and strength!
