Above the Line: Suffering

Why would an all-loving and an all-powerful God allow suffering?  Could it be that He isn't loving enough to stop it, or He isn't powerful enough to stop it?  How does this argument square with the Bible?  Are there any sort of answers to such questions?

Psalm 73 is a confession of an impure heart.  It is also shows us how an impure heart is made pure again.  A pure heart is a must to live above the line in Christ Jesus.

The average lifespan in the first century was around 40 years.  In John 5 Jesus healed a cripple at the Pool of Bethesda that had been laying there for 38 years, basically his entire life.  It is an incredible account that speaks so deeply to us today in the areas of our lives that need the healing power of Jesus.  We ALL need His healing!  The question is... Do you want to get well?

Above the Line: Consecrated

To devote someplace or someone to a particular purpose... a particular purpose.  What are you living for?  If you aspire to live above the line, you must be consecrated to the greatest purpose; that of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Too many professing Christians live compromising lives, rather than consecrated ones. A life like Samson's from Judges 13, shows us the dire consequences of desecration flying in the face of consecration.

What does living above the line actually look like in real life, in real time, in real human relationships?  The Bible is very clear on the difference that the presence of God makes in a redeemed life.  Ephesians 5 spells it out for us in a very motivating and inspiring way!
